Whether as start-up or a strong, successful international firm, the state of your books is critical to the success of your business. This course explores the importance and effect of a strong bookkeeping system. Ideal businesses to take this course must be: 1+ years in business, in the Agri-Foods Industry and in growth mode. By the end of this course, the participant will learn how to organize their books, build a chart of accounts, maintain their books and understand how a powerful bookkeeping system can fuel their growth strategically. The participant will walk away with a strong understanding of how to set up, build and maintain their books. Course will be in a classroom setting.
Course Modules
- Module One: Purpose of Books: Record Keeping 1 hour
- Module Two: Organizing Books 1 hour
- Module Three: Building a Chart of Accounts 1 hour
- Module Four: Maintaining Books 1 hour
Assessment Method
Participants will be assessed as follows:
- In Class Participation
- Review of concepts during in: class activities
- Review of system set-up and chart of accounts: one-on-one training sessions

- Implementation of what they have learned in classroom training to their business
